Job Description
We are looking for a technical software intern who is willing to invest a significant amount of time and effort into the development of internal validation tools and Intel Graphic Compiler (IGC) quality improvement. IGC is a complex software product and its validation is largely about creating a code that is capable of identifying corner cases and inconsistencies between the actual compiler implementation and its expected behavior. Our team is mainly focused on improving the quality of IGC when processing Compute workloads and our main goal is to ensure the reliability of the IGC on GPGPU tasks. In our team, you will get an idea of the structure of a modern optimizing compiler, approaches to its validation (formal verification, fuzzing, test generating, etc.), and learn about the architecture of modern GPUs.
Role of an Intern
As a Software Engineer Intern at Intel Corporation, your role involves working with a team of experienced engineers on cutting-edge deep learning projects. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing math kernels using MLIR on hardware accelerators, with a focus on improving the performance and efficiency of deep learning algorithms.
Areas of Responsibility
Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of deep-learning tasks, including:
Developing and optimizing math kernels for hardware accelerators, with a focus on performance and efficiency.
Working with PyTorch, C, C++, and Python to implement and optimize deep learning algorithms.
Collaborating with your team to develop detailed documentation for each of your projects.
Identifying and resolving technical challenges and issues related to hardware accelerators and deep learning algorithms.
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the projects.
Learning Outcomes
During your internship, you will gain valuable experience in the field of deep learning and computer engineering, developing a strong understanding of the importance of collaboration, optimization, and documentation in this field.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
Understanding of hardware accelerators and their role in deep learning.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
