Intern Global Private Debt (f/m/d)

In this role you will be part of the AllianzGI Alternatives investment platform which manages more than EUR 98 billion in assets and comprises around 170 investment professionals. The Global Private Debt team invests globally in corporate, real estate, infrastructure as well as energy transition private debt funds with a focus on senior, subordinated and opportunistic credit strategies.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the sourcing, analysis, and implementation of private debt fund investments, to prepare investment committee approvals and to further develop our portfolio monitoring and client reporting. In this role you will work for one of the world’s largest private debt fund investors in an increasingly agile environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced and dynamic investment team throughout the whole investment process - from due diligence over the investment decision to ongoing portfolio monitoring - with plenty of opportunities to learn.

What you will do

  • Perform market analysis and research on private debt investment opportunities across a variety of regions, managers, strategies and asset classes
  • Contribute to private debt fund investment proposals through qualitative and quantitative due diligence analysis of investment strategy, structuring expertise, ESG profile, historical track record, expected returns, etc.
  • Contribute to the execution of private debt secondary transactions and co-investments by analysing fund managers, portfolios as well as individual companies. This includes building and maintain financial models as well as preparing investment committee memos
  • Help construct marketing materials such as pitchbooks, Due Diligence Questionnaire, and case studies for clients
  • Support with regular and ad-hoc portfolio monitoring, performance evaluation and client reporting topics
  • Work closely with the investment team on preparing presentations for the investment committee
  • Prepare for and actively participate in meetings with asset managers
  • Contribute to data analytics and ongoing portfolio management.

What you bring

  • You have completed your undergraduate studies in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics with excellent results and you are currently registered in a Master’s program in one of those fields
  • You are interested in capital markets and investments
  • You have an inquisitive mind, and you are a quick learner
  • You possess strong analytical skills and work very diligently even under time pressure
  • You are fluent in English in writing and speaking
  • Previous work experience in the financial industry is a plus; fixed income know-how is advantageous
  • German language is a plus.
